Worth the trek to get there!

Liked: The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The building is a historic landmark, with exposed beams and high ceilings, and nicely furnished. As the village is in a “dark skies” area, each room is named after a constellation, and has interesting information about the constellation displayed in the room. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and both were tasty and good value for money. The beds were very comfortable and the room very clean. We had to leave early the next day, and the lady in charge gave us a pack-up breakfast to take with us. The village is small and pleasant, and we very much enjoyed the experience - I would happily go back for a night or two, when the price is lower: we paid a premium because of the eclipse, as many rooms in the path of totality had, according to the locals we met, been reserved up to two years in advance of the eclipse! Still, I didn’t begrudge paying for being able to have such a magical experience in a lovely location.

Disliked: As the weather was exceptionally hot, it would have been nice to have a fan in the room, but this was a minor point.

Great place to stay while traveling in the region

Liked: The hotel is very authentic and comfortable. There is a parking, they make cleaning every day and the rooms are really big. The breakfast is typical (ham, cheese, bakery), fish fruits and really good coffee. Please, mind that you can hear the tower bell every hour (but personally I liked it very much)

Disliked: It would be better to add some eggs and yogurts to the breakfast menu

It’s good money for value but I wouldn’t book the breakfast and dinner again. I think we can find better options to eat

Liked: The bedroom was great, beds comfortable and bathroom also good and spacious. The location was good

Disliked: I didn’t like the service during breakfast, I have food intolerances and the attitude was very poor, made us feel like we was a pain asking for different things during a breakfast. There was not much option, only bread and cruassans. Bottle juice and coffee. The service was just not pleasant.
