  Not very satisfying

  Liked: It was beautifully decorated

  Disliked: Had a bad old cellar type smell. Listed as 2beds although there is no second bed, only a sofa which was horrible to sleep on.

  Disliked: Don’t recommend. Very stressful experience. The host downgraded my room at the last minute while keeping the price the same. I was given a smaller room with fewer amenities, and, for some reason, no blankets were provided. The WiFi didn’t work throughout my entire stay, which was a major issue as I needed to work. The room was extremely hot and stuffy, and the fans didn’t help at all. The window faced a shared inner courtyard, so opening it wasn’t an option as the lights stayed on all night. Parking in town is already difficult, and finding a spot anywhere near the hotel is practically impossible.

  Liked: What an incredibly beautiful place to stay! We loved everything about this place. San Roque is a wonderful little town and El Conventillo de San Roque is the perfect place to stay when you visit. It is beautifully decorated, super clean, really comfortable and the host is friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this accommodation!

  Liked: San Roque is the perfect spot to spend a night in the region if one does not enjoy the bustle of Algeciras. The village is beautiful, historical and quiet. The perspectives from the top of the hill is wonderful and one can contemplate Gibraltar easily. The room at the Conventillo is fully equipped for an independent stay (kitchen, coffee, fridge). This was absolutely lovely.
