Great hotel for a stop-over night on the road to Portugal
Liked: Great hotel on the road to Portugal. The room was big and classy with its white + glass + polished metal insertions. Very quiet hotel with an excellent buffet for the dinner (although quite expensive at EUR 46.- per person + wine) --> great choice of cold and warm dishes, including fresh seafood. Great breakfast buffet and convenient parking with a 50 kW charger for 2 cars.
Disliked: Nothing. We were not able to enjoy the spa and exterior pool, due to a lack of time. They looked great.
Disliked: The staff broke my cream bottle and instead of finding a solution they blamed me for leaving it outside and told me that because it was very cheap they can't do anything. Very poor service

Disliked: Very disappointing experience We stayed here for a friend’s wedding and contacted the hotel in advance to arrange taxis to the wedding venue. We were assured that the hotel worked with local taxi drivers and that the cost would be around €30–€50. On the day of arrival, just five minutes before our taxi was due, we were told the driver had refused the journey because of the rain. We completely understand that the hotel cannot control the weather or a driver’s decision, but what was extremely disappointing was the complete lack of empathy or meaningful assistance. We missed our friends’ wedding welcome drinks, despite having made the hotel aware of our plans in advance. An alternative taxi was offered, but the price was around three times the original quote. We subsequently decided to move to another hotel, resulting in further costs, inconvenience and additional taxi expenses. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of any goodwill from the hotel. We were told that a drink would be offered to us, but when the bill arrived, we had been charged for it. We were also charged for our evening meal and drinks, despite the fact that we had just missed an important part of our friends’ wedding and were dealing with the considerable inconvenience caused by the situation. There was no real acknowledgement of how upsetting this had been for us. We understand that things can happen beyond a hotel’s control, but we expected empathy, honest communication and some effort to help. Instead, we felt that the hotel simply continued to charge us while showing very little care for the circumstances. Sadly, this left us extremely disappointed and having to move hotels as we didn’t want to miss the wedding the following day as the hotel could not confirm the same situation wouldn’t happen the following day. Thankfully the hotel we moved (although further out) were extremely helpful and accomodating.
