  Great stay, beautifull surroundings

  Too many rules, felt like we were annoying, not guests

  Liked: Location for proximity to bike trails we were following

  Disliked: There were silence and private signs everywhere. We felt like intruders in the private home of the owner who is very present. There is no communal space as in the photos, no sitting lounge or fireplace to relax by, only your room. We were asked via text message to be quiet at 7:30pm for moving a small table in our room to play cards with our children.

  A wonderful, peaceful rural stay

  Liked: Super friendly Mari who did not speak English, but used her translator App to help her communicated with us often prior to our arrival and checked us in. She unexpectedly brought drinks three times out to the pool. Often she was seen cleaning and was very good about trying to keep bugs out of the pool. She also put out a wonderful breakfast with fresh croissants and spreads, including Nutella. Yum! Lots of vegetarian choices, as requested. The owner, Yan, is wonderful, friendly, social and very welcoming. He has a comfortable place to stay with large, clean rooms, lots of parking and complete silence, especially at night. Mas Duc is a beautiful rural stay.

  Disliked: Perhaps the signage on the road could have been a little better, prior to the turn, to give you a head’s up.

  Nice enough, but read the full reviews so you know what to really expect

  Liked: Great location, friendly and accommodating manager and a nice breakfast.

  Disliked: I had read previous reviews so didn’t arrive with the highest expectations, but the “silent” signs everywhere were the tell tale sign that it was a fair bit stricter than I had first thought, firstly there is no communal space - if you have seen the photo of the lovely cozy fire area, that no longer exists. Then we got a what’s app message sent to us at 7:30pm due to “moving furniture and making a noise” this was on New Year’s Eve as we moved a table to play cards with the kids - honestly if there was a noise it was a mere 20 seconds. Many rather over the top rules, you def don’t feel like the guest here, more like a trespasser (the owner sleeps on site in a room right by the guests)

  Liked: The location was good and we slept well

  Disliked: Although we expected rustic it was tired and needed some care and attention, cracks in the bedroom walls mildew/mold in bathroom (there was no ventilation, unless you opened the window)
