Pleasant
Marginal but could be Amazing
Liked: Given the recent reviews, we very nearly cancelled the booking. We didn't. It's not the most modern apartment but it is large, comfortable and there are some nice touches. The pots and pans were clean, as was the microwave. The unit was very clean, with the exception that the garbage under the sink had not been taken out. It is also well located with a grocery store, good restaurant and a laundromat within a 10 minute walk. The owners must have had the place fumigated but unfortunately, there are still bed bugs. I killed one one my bed before going to sleep, and several on the wall in the morning. We slept in our Camino sleeping bags so we did not get bitten.
Disliked: The bed sheets and pillow cases need to be replaced. They were clean but there were spots that look like old blood stains from bites. We had no toilet paper. Fortunately, we always travel with a full roll for emergencies. We think the remote for the TV needs new batteries as it did not work. It's a shame as the place has great potential. The ability to cook your own meals after many days on the Camino should be a huge advantage. The owner's really need to address the previously reported issues regarding the linens, toaster, hair dryer, toilet paper and bugs.

Disliked: Advertised Wi-Fi but did NOT have. AC was portable unit that blew hot exhaust back into the room, it was of no benefit! Linens were stained, but looked clean? - maybe?

Liked: Has great potential, could be a cute apartment if there was some care and love put into it.
Disliked: at check in the partner let us in and he couldn’t wait to leave. He said he spoke no English and most of our accommodations don’t speak English but we communicated with google translate. he left and we realised that half the things mentioned on property list were not there. we had to text the owner and tell her, there was no washing machine, no toiletries, no welcome snack, cutlery, pots, plates were all dirty and we had to buy sponge to clean surfaces and dishes. The dirty floors looked like they had never been mopped, doona covers in twin room had dirty boot marks and sheets and doonas smelt of not being washed. The owner was kind enough to come around and sort out a few things and we appreciated that. she just needs a new cleaner!
