Very good
Good place to stay in Torrox Costa
Liked: Great location, super close to the bus station, shops, restaurants and beach. The accommodation is compact but with everything you need for a stay in Torrox.
Extremely overpriced for sub standard quality
Liked: The location
Disliked: Poor communication from the host. The contact number we were given was for a person who couldn’t speak English and kept hanging up the phone so we were unable to arrange a meeting point to collect the keys. We had to ask a waiter in a bar to speak to the host on our behalf as this was the only way we could communicate with her. The photos on booking.com do not resemble the property as it is now. The shower leaked every time it was used. The towels provided were so cheap they didn’t even dry you. The bedding was very old, cheap quality and the material was pilled. It was so bad we turned the quilt cover inside out as it was really uncomfortable on your skin. The fitted sheet wasn’t big enough for the mattress and constantly came off. The pillowcases were too big for the pillows and were made from a cheap satin fabric so the pillows kept slipping out. The bed squeaked every time you moved. The apartment block had extremely noisy neighbours, DIY, slamming doors at all times of the day and night and people having loud conversations at all hours. The corridors were dark and unwelcoming and constantly smelled of cigarette smoke and other substances and the lifts were filthy. We booked the apartment for three weeks. The final straw was when we saw a cockroach run from under the bed. We booked a flight home immediately and lost a week of our holiday and incurred extra cost for an earlier flight. Very disappointing and stressful experience and we certainly would not recommend the apartment.

Liked: It's location
Disliked: The studio was tiny and suitable for one person only. The bathroom was the nicest area to be in. There had been so much rain, the room was damp on arrival and the enclosed patio area so cold that I couldn't use it at all. It might be nicer in Summer?
Tiny studio in a good location
Liked: Good location, the jade towels, and the glasses. It had most things that I needed for a short stay, The flat was very clean.
Disliked: Despite sending emails several days in advance, informing the person that I would be arriving at 3 or 4 and would confirm upon arrival in Malaga, I received lots of abrupt emails from Claudia, the owner, as I was about to board my flight. When I later confirmed my exact arrival time she didn´t reply. She showed up over 15 minutes late, with no apology and a bad attitude. She also hung up as I was telling her I was waiting at the café opposite. A very rude and unprofessional woman. The studio has been very cheaply furnished. The bedding is poor quality and there are only 2 tiny pillows on the bed. The shower door doesn´t close properly so the floor gets wet all the time. It is very small and quite dark and claustoprobic. Also, it says in description that there is a kettle but there is not. Noise from buildling work and neighbours late at night. The price was too high for the standard of the accommodationm.
Cheap base for holiday
Liked: The bed was really comfortable, 1st floor, free parking
Disliked: Everything is made of plastic or brittle materials especially in kitchen and bath. I’d invest a bit here as good pans, knives, a working tap and shower cost altogether less than 300€ but last forever and make the stay so much more pleasant.
