Exceptional
Liked: It was a beautiful property. It worked out great for us as a group with Adults and kids. There were multiple outdoor spaces to relax or hangout. The fresh bread in the morning is also a big blessing!
Disliked: The only thing was I wish the pool was warmer! Being October obviously with the weather cooling off, the pool would too. We had hoped that maybe it would have been heated. That is my only complaint
Fantastic rural accommodation
Liked: Having spent 5 peaceful and relaxing nights at the Casas da Estacao, we could've quite easily stayed another week or two, The Casas da Estacao are as the name suggests houses next to the train station, the train station is no longer in use and there's no trains, the line is abandoned but the station is beautiful and kept in good condition, you can even use the rail bikes that are based there. Beira itself is so peaceful, you really are in the middle of nowhere, one good restaurant and a couple of bars in the village, plenty enough. The surrounding area is unspoilt and totally rural, perfect for walking/hiking. The apartments have everything you would possibly need. Some apartments are larger and would suit families and some like the one we chose is small and perfect for two people. The gardens and outdoor areas are lovely and well kept. The pools are a life saver in the heat of summer. The staff/owners at the apartments are great and we both loved the little touch of fresh bread being brought to the apartment every morning. Will be definitely returning.

Liked: It was very clean and peaceful. The fresh bread and pastéis de nata delivered to our door was really nice
Disliked: Not being able to access internet
Liked: Great place to rest and get off-grid for a few days. The "tanque" (or pool) is the ex libris of the house and invites you to long and relaxing baths. Will most certainly be back!
