Liked: Small but very cute and comfortable room with great views. super duper shower. Always appreciate tea making. We booked the hot tub before dinner at around 7 and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset. Really lovely check in experience with Carlotta-very helpful. Lovely breakfast
Disliked: unfortunately our room seemed to be very close to some kind of generator that was constantly firing up all the way through the night -and particularly noisy at the end of the cycle before it revved up again for the next one. Hot tub was not too hot-more kind of just tepid which was Ok because it had been a very warm day but once the sun went -we realised the water was too cool to feel fully relaxed-still enjoyed it though
A perfect little hotel
Liked: Loved this gorgeous hotel in the stunning old town of Marvao. We prefer self catering accommodation on our trips but this hotel looked appealing and it was delightful. Exceeded expectations. Driving to the hotel through the old streets of Marvao was " an adventure! When we checked in the reception staff were friendly, helpful and very informative. Our room was good with comfy bed, bedside tables, good side lights, dressing gown + 2 pillows(important for me). Good shower room. The breakfast was perfect for us,. Buffet style with cereals, fresh bread rolls, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheeses and sliced meat. Coffee was either from the vacuum or espresso from the pod coffee machine- our preference. There are great seating areas both in the hotel and on the terrace.The latter has stunning views over the countryside around. The town is completely walkable from the hotel and is a wonderful place to explore. Wish we had stayed longer.
