  Best place to disconnect

  Liked: We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was lovely, especially being surrounded by the mountains and the house was a comfortable size for two adults and a child. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and overall had a pleasant and comfortable experience. There was no Wi-Fi connection at all in our cabin. While this might be inconvenient for some guests, for us it was actually a nice opportunity to disconnect, slow down, and enjoy the surroundings.

  Disliked: Our cabin was generally clean. There were just a few small things that could use some attention, such as cobwebs on the window screens and the extractor fan over the stove which was very oily. The shower hose in the bathroom also needs replacing, as water sprays out around the connection. We had hoped to rent bicycles during our stay, but unfortunately the reception was closed and we weren't able to find anyone there, particularly in the afternoons when we were at the pool. The pool could also benefit from a little more frequent cleaning as there were some leaves and dead insects on the bottom, although this is understandable given the mountain setting.

  Liked: Beautiful property, rustic but comfortable. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. The staff was extremely attentive. We had a wonderful week and are planning to go back again.

  Disliked: The doors to the bedrooms didn't shut at all. This was not a problem for us as we were a family of four, but it could be inconvenient for two couples traveling together.

  We loved it here

  Liked: Really nice and comfy casita in a very beautiful surrounding. Well equipped and with a fireplace (besides central heating). This is the perfect base to explore the area from. The owner is very friendly and helpful too.

  Very pleasantly surprised!

  Liked: We had a wonderful time at El Jiniebro! Before arriving the owner sent us all information about the place by Whatsapp and we could check in by ourselves when we got there (we booked Casa Llano de Anta). The house is very comfortable, was spotless clean and the 2 air conditioners kept us cool (even chilly if put too high) while it was close to 40C degrees outside. The pool is clean and cool and the surroundings are quiet and stunningly beautiful! The area is perfect for hiking or mountain biking. The kitchen is basic (2 pits) but has all the essentials you need to make dinner for 3 people. The beds are a bit short but comfortable.

  Terrible!

  Liked: The sun shone!

  Disliked: DO not book this accommodation if you have any mobility issues, there are no handrails anywhere and to get to the house we booked was very steep even for a fit person. There is no wifi, even though we received a text confirming that the internet had a "good" signal. The pool has VERY slippery tiles when getting out, be very careful these tiles are not textured. Very bad customer service when we flagged up our issues, incredibly unhelpful and rude. This complaint was reported to Booking.com on our return but this accommodation did not want to know. Funny enough we received very friendly texts in English prior to our arrival, but when we reported our issues, all the responses were in Spanish, completely unprofessional. AVOID!!!! We only stayed one night out of the 7 we had paid for, as it was totally unsuitable for my husband who walks with a walking stick due to a stroke. The accommodation knew that he was disabled as we enquired if the accommodation was on one floor before our arrival.They failed to mention that there was limited access, but they were happy to take our money prior to our arrival. We found a fabulous alternative a few hours away and enjoyed the rest of our holiday with fantastic, professional, trained staff.
