A unique and charming place full of history

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully converted old railway station. So much of the original character has been preserved – from old tickets to historic details and furnishings – which makes the place truly special. My husband is a huge railway fan, so seeing his face when we arrived was priceless! We felt very comfortable here and loved the location. The surrounding Alentejo countryside is beautiful, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling along the old railway line, exploring nearby villages and enjoying great local food. The host was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Communication was excellent – always quick, easy and helpful – and it was lovely to meet her in person during our stay. A unique place full of history, charm and character. We would definitely recommend it and would happily come back!

Liked: The flair of the former station restaurant and hotel. Just beside the railbike. Very calm. Free parking. Posdible to have ebikes inside

Disliked: Small room. We were the only guests and hardly saw someone from the personal. Breakfast is included in the price but served between 9h or 9.30 and 11h, too late for us. So we prepared our breakfast on our own. A bit pricy for the region and service provided

    Lovely, unexpected place

Liked: Very pleasant stay, great to live the station a bit. Super clean.

Disliked: Because it's remote, there's zero services in the surroundings and no drinks available in the premisses.

Liked: The lady who did our check-in was very friendly.

Disliked: The building and the room were freezing cold. We slept with all of our clothes on, but we still didn't manage to sleep because of the cold. Heating is insufficient. Breakfast was served late (9 AM) and wasn't fresh. Instant coffee, defrosted bread that was still cold etc. Also, the place is more like a hostel and not a guesthouse. You have to do you own dishes etc. We booked two nights but decided to go home after the first night. A big disappointment after a long drive.

Liked: We chose this place due to a very interesting location and its history. The main space was nicely decorated, kitchen fully equipped, staff welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast.

Disliked: Bathroom was moldy. It was very hot in the room (we stayed during August). The church bell nearby was banging loudly the whole night.
