Fabulous
Impressive hotel generally. Central. Tucked away
Liked: A truly beautiful hotel, perhaps a little expensive. Lovely communal gardens and a cracking hot tub on an elevated rooftop terrace with excellent views. Central to Vic so easy to get where you need to. Bus station is a 15 minute walk away and parking is a two minute walk away.
Disliked: Difficult to access. Reception area needs a map for where everything is. Better organisation needed for, eg, when the hot tub is booked. Provision of towels etc and preparation would have been appreciated but not the end of the world.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Liked: I love the building and the grounds.
Disliked: It is really a minimalist room. A comfortable bed but that is all.
Dreadful
Disliked: A truly dreadful experience. Having received promotional material beforehand suggesting we book the restaurant for a culinary experience and the wellness centre for a massage, when we arrived at the hotel the restaurant was closed, as was the bar and wellness centre except a jacuzzi. Had we been alerted to this earlier we wouldn’t have stayed and I believe we were deliberately deceived. The first room we were given, the bathroom was in a disgusting state with mould all around the shower. The second room seemed better until we discovered after we had gone to bed that the air conditioning didn’t work. The temperatures in Vic during mid summer are extremely high. At approximately midnight I went and spoke with the reception to complain as it was quite impossible to sleep. At that point we had decided to drive home to France. Whilst my wife packed our case I spoke with a manager at the end of a telephone who suggested they would find another room for us. By 1 am we had our third room. This was after a long drive during the day and all we wanted was a massage, a dinner and a room to sleep. This hotel provided none of this. The hotel is an utter disgrace and does not deserve four stars.
Liked: Beautiful hotel (former convent) in great location, right in the historic quarter. No car park, but only a short walk from a secure underground car park (payable)

Great spot in Vic
Liked: Beautiful communal areas: reception, breakfast room, gardens. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Great location, though you need to park a few minutes away.
Disliked: Room a bit bland. Needed a few nice prints on the walls.
