Dogs paradise
Liked: Poder alojarme con mi mascota. Las maravillosas vistas Al ponerse el sol, el entorno del alojamiento... Y la excelente atención del camarero joven con anteojos que nos atendió en el restaurante. La cama era bastante cómoda y todo estaba limpio.
Disliked: 1.Mal aislamiento acústico. En la habitación se escuchaba el ruído proveniente del bar de abajo (suerte que a las 12 y poco ya cerraban) y qué decir de los sonidos del resto del alojamiento... Cisternas, grifos, toses...TODO se podía oír en nuestro cuarto durante la noche. Menos mal que los cuartos no tienen tv. 2.El hecho de que nadie nos avisase de que el perro residente corretea habitualmente entre las mesas del comedor en busca de comida mientras los comensales cenan. Cuando me comunicaron que era un local pet friendly imaginaba un lugar donde las personas pueden cenar con su perro tranquilamente atado con correa a su lado y sin molestar a ningún otro cliente. Pero no una barra libre canina. La preocupación de que mi perro ( que dormía plácidamente hasta entonces) pudiese ponerse nervioso y molestase a otras mesas no me dejó seguir disfrutando del momento. Así que a la cuarta o quinta carrera del perrito a lo largo del establecimiento decidimos finalizar nuestra cena... Quizás ponerle un bol de comida en la puerta hubiese bastado. En fin, supongo que son sus costumbres y hay que respetarlas... 3. Una de las almohadas tenía un fuerte olor a perfume como de patchouli...quizás alguna clienta anterior la había rociado. Simplemente la retiré. La cisterna perdía agua y era un poco tortuoso aparte de poco ecológico. Espero que lo hayan detectado y solucionado. No puedo decir que no cumpla mis expectativas pues acostumbro a viajar sin expectativas, pero la experiencia fue muy mejorable.
Liked: Good location with a great view from the room and within easy walking distance to a quiet beach. Friendly welcome to us and our two dogs.
Disliked: We stayed for two nights at the hotel at the end of the summer season, hoping to eat in the restaurant for at least one night, given its good reviews and reputation. On enquiry, we gathered that the restaurant would be closed on the second night, but hoped that we could eat there on our first night, given that it was still August. However, we were informed just before our stay that the restaurant would be closed that night as well. Although breakfast was available, the hotel appeared closed, with only a handful of guests and little staff presence, the staff just taking over the eating area for their end of season supper on our second night, leaving the guests to cater for themselves. A real shame, as it seemed that the hotel would generally have had ad a good relaxed vibe and we would have enjoyed it if it had been fully functional. If booking out of high season, would advise to check what facilities are available.
A room with a smashing view
Liked: The location is something special. The view that you get is just wonderful. The whole place is quiet and pleasant and reasonably close to the nearest town with shops and restaurants. The bed was comfy. There is free on-site parking and a nice outdoor seating area where we had our dinner watching the sunset. We didn't get to go the nearest beach that you can see out of the window but it looks gorgeous. The host is very nice and friendly and speaks good English. He was very accommodating and did his best to make us feel welcome. I was able to negotiate the suitable breakfast for myself due to my dietary needs so I appreciated the flexibility.
Disliked: We didn't get the large corner room that we'd booked due to some problem but we still got the room with the beach view plus the breakfast thrown on top to compensate which was nice. It was also sad that the restaurant was closed that night so we had to sort out some food in the nearest town. The bath in our room was a bit awkward to stand in while showering but there was plenty of hot water with good pressure. Finally, some of the information in the 'About this property' section on the Booking.com advert should be updated.
Remote but very lively with a great restaurant and bars
Liked: We felt really welcomed by the very friendly staff. We had a corner room with two windows enabling fresh air. The ambiance is excellent. The location is in the remote countryside, but only a couple of km from a wonderful beach in a big cove. There are several terraces outside and also tables and chairs on the grass. The excellent restaurant is obviously popular and the inside and outside bars are popular as well. If you are looking for action, this is the place. If you want to go early to bed, book a room facing away from the outside terraces and bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the lively ambiance. The restaurant is a magnet for the locals and families will arrive as late as 22h or later and the kitchen closes at 23h.
Disliked: We were surprised by having to order from a menu for breakfast, but with a public restaurant you cannot have a self-service breakfast buffet, so this is obviously a good solution and prices were very reasonable and portions were big
