  Do not book this accommodation

  Disliked: We were not able to access the apartment with the code provided. We were unable to get hold of the owner. Their phone went to voicemail and they ignored our messages. We had to book alternative accommodation which was expensive and stressful as I had my daughter with me. The lady next door also arrived at the same time and couldn't access her apartment either. Neighbours also seemed to be aware that this was a common occurrence. Do not book this accommodation.

  Terrible experience. Absolutely not recommended

  Disliked: My experience was extremely disappointing. I was travelling with my partner and our 5-month-old baby. The day before our arrival I received the two access codes. On the morning of our trip I messaged the host to ask whether a baby crib could be provided but I received no response. We arrived at around 4 pm, only to discover that the access code for the main entrance did not work. After several attempts another resident had to let us into the building. Unfortunately the same thing happened again at the apartment door. The code for the key lockbox was also incorrect. I spent over an hour trying to contact the host by phone and message with absolutely no response. With a 5-month-old baby and no way to access our accommodation, I eventually had to contact Booking.com and book somewhere else. I am still hoping to receive a refund for this unacceptable experience. I cannot say whether this was a scam or simply gross mismanagement, but either way, I strongly advise against booking this accommodation. Completely unacceptable.

  Property managed by unprofessional host

  Liked: Great location, very central.

  Disliked: We arrived at the property to find no electricity. We contacted the apartment owner on arrival through booking.com and WhatsApp, and received no response during our 3-day stay. On our final night when we arrived back at 10pm the electricity was on, but we had still received no response from the owner. This is advertised as a self-catering apartment, but due to no electricity we could’t use any of the facilities (cooker, fridge etc). As a family of 4, we had to buy food elsewhere which became expensive. We had downloaded our train passes on our phones, and we couldn’t charge them which was worrying, so we had to resort to sitting in cafes charging devices in the evenings. We found the lack of response extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We made the best of the situation, and still enjoyed our stay in Geneva, but it felt like we were highly disrespected.

  Great location

  Liked: The location was great. There is a view of the city and water jet.

  Disliked: The portable AC unit could only cool one room and it was very hot during our stay. One of the barstools was broken before we arrived.

  Disappointing facilities, poor staff service and not value for money

  Liked: Location was good. Fridge, washing machine and iron worked.

  Disliked: First of all staff were unresponsive to messages sent prior to arrival about arrangements or when issues raised.. Did not even receive an acknowledgement. Did not receive digital transport card. AC unit was woefully inadequate to deal with hot temperatures, not helped by heating left on prior to our arrival. Coffee machine didn't work and leaked when switched on. Large crack in ceiling above bed. Television didn't work and batteries missing from remote control. Very small and didn't feel like value for money.
