  Wife in nearby hospital, location and ability to self cater made it ideal "home" for my three weeks

  Liked: Large room with own kitchen. Good bed and armchair. Good wi-fi. Very few staff around, but when needed very helpful.

  Disliked: In retrospect, it would have been better to get a room at the back, overlooking the courtyard as this would have been quieter. No air-conditioning and fan provided wasn't up for the job. It was a very hot spell and I couldn't get the temperature in my room below 27C any night. Was entitled to have Geneva tourist pass, but only issued successfully for one of three weeks I was there.

  Hospital Accommodation

  Liked: Large room with good kitchen facilities. Good bathroom, although shower over bath. Ideally located six minutes walk from the hospital. Two good sized windows with shutters

  Disliked: Noise, although the street outside is pedestrian focused. A bar and restaurant below had tables right outside the window to midnight. So I didn't open the windows during the evening. Also there was a strong white light shining from the flats across the road which didn't go out all night. Suggest ask for a courtyard room. The room was very hot no AC but a mobile fan. Couldn't get temp below about 27C most nights. Geneva card should be available, facilitated by the hotel, I only got mine for one week out of the three I was there, in spite chasing management

  Hotel is best during winter due to weather. But best staff named Daniel, he’s you’re so amazing!

  Liked: The staff is absolutely amazing! I think Daniel is his name. He’s so much helpful in every possible way. You made my 8 days stay absolutely amazing! Despite of the hot weather, you did what you can! You’re a star!

  Disliked: I think it is best during winter. Since my room was on the roof. And with summer weather, it was so hot like an oven. But Daniel still tried his best to help me, he gave me another fan that I can use. He even tested it before giving to me, to see if it’s better than the 2 fans I have in my room.

  Could be worse, definitely could be better for the price

  Liked: Pizzeria ran by Italians downstairs has excellent coffee and very nice staff Bed was ok

  Disliked: Lots of noise outside, totally audible in the room, even with window closed Walls should have been repainted ~2 years ago Only 2 flat pillows (for 2 people room) Shower cabin wouldn't open properly

  Wouldn't recommend staying here on a work trip

  Liked: Large room and friendly staff. Good wifi. Close to bus and tram stops. Fridge in room.

  Disliked: It was difficult to find the entrance and the reception - the Google map location is incorrect, and the alley and courtyard are unmarked (so couldn't be readily recitifed on Google maps). There's no lift/elevator in the building. The lack of air conditioning meant that it was extremely uncomfortable to stay here during a heatwave (with 'extreme heat' government warnings), although air conditioning generally doesn't seem to be widespread in Geneva. The room was directly above bar tables on the pavement in the street and there was loud noise outside every night until very late. On one night, there was a bar fight with prolonged shouting, breaking glass and police sirens. Because of the heat and the noise, I slept poorly for the five days I stayed and it made working difficult. The room was a bit rough around the edges - mould on the shower curtain and bathroom ceiling, no electrical wall socket near the microwave, an iron that lacked the correct adaptor to use with Swiss electrical sockets and a TV with no real choice of channels. This might be a reasonably priced base for exploring Geneva on holiday at a cooler time of year but I wouldn't advise using it for a work trip.

  It was a very uncomfortable stay, the room was too hot to sleep and no ventilation provided for

  Liked: Daniel, the front office staff is a great guy, welcoming and jolly. Really friendly and warm.

  Disliked: The studio has no ventilation and has only an old fan that barely helps. The windows could have been opened to allow for ventilation and a bit of comfort especially during these hot days.
