Fabulous
This a beautiful cottage in a good location but be prepared to leave your car on a main road
Liked: beautiful cottage with superb outdoor space. all the mod cons Lovely and quiet despite being on a main road. Perfect for a couple wanting a romantic break away
Disliked: Greeting wasn't the greatest. Despite paying £555 for 3 nights, which wasn't a problem, they were more concerned on getting an extra £30 for the dog, rather than explain the special rate for breakfast which I would have had if I had realised. There are only a few parking spaces, so I didn't like the stress of parking on quite a fast road the first night.
Comfortable and well equipped. Great position
Liked: Close to town. Private. Quiet. Well appointed kitchen. Washing machine and dishwasher.
Disliked: Needs a deep clean. Lots of minor maintenance needed. There is a coffee pod machine (Tassimo type) but no pods and nowhere in town selling pods.
Brilliant
Liked: Location and people on site
Liked: Quiet, secluded and great facilities including the hot tub.
Disliked: Wifi signal was a bit patchy in parts.
Liked: The bed was comfortable. It was great having a kitchen. The washer was much needed and hopefully no one minded looking at our washing hanging outside to dry. The cottage stays reasonably cool during the day with the windows closed, which was nice during the heat wave. The wifi worked OK - we weren't expecting any so this was good.
Disliked: It would have been nice to have a fan to help with cooling. I guess no dryer was fine since there was a lot of sun. Parking is dicey, but workable. Coming down the steps from the cottage, I thought I was going to be sideswiped by lorries a couple of times. Exciting or terrifying?!?
We loved everything about our stay! 🤩
