  Liked: We stayed in the Drummond Room, which was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully cosy, with a lovely fireplace. We were spoiled with fresh sweet treats every day. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with lots of fascinating colonial-style details. The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and friendly.

  Disliked: One of the advertised features of the room was supposed to be a view, which unfortunately we didn’t have. This is the only reason for our slightly lower rating.

  Totally luxury and a fabulous location. Highly recommend

  Liked: The room was beautiful and had a great view of the castle. Extremely luxurious, the bed was very comfortable and had lots of great amenities. Breakfast was outstanding, I highly recommend the Clapshot Hashbrown stack! Great location right in the heart of the city. The staff were brilliant, extremely helpful and accomodating. We had a minor issue with a tiny leak in the room due to a storm and the staff couldnt have been better with how they dealt with it. All in all, a totally luxurious experience

  A beautiful Scottish experience with exceptional hospitality. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

  Liked: The hotel had such an authentic Scottish feel, which we absolutely loved. We were also very kindly upgraded to a different room from the one we originally booked, which made our stay even more special. We felt very welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. The room and bathroom were amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

  Disliked: Nothing at all. Everything was wonderful!

  Perfect boutique hotel with Scottish vibes and castle views

  Liked: Beautiful, intimate, upscale hotel, with classic Scottish vibes. Outstanding feature includes the exceptional staff at front door, concierge, reception, restaurant, and housekeeping. Our suite was immaculately maintained, we enjoyed the heated bathroom floor and extremely comfortable bed. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh by foot, and offers spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle and the Princess St. Gardens. Direct tram from the airport made arrival/departure easy. Highly recommend and will stay here again when back in Edinburgh.
