  Liked: It was a very nice acomodation. It was also good how it was only a two minute walk from the bus stop if you have to get the bus. The person who runs it was also very nice and helpful. The rooms look amazing and were very cleen.

  Worst hotel for a few years

  Liked: It was clean & comfortable.

  Disliked: When you are paying £116 for a room you expect at least bottled water & spoons in the room for making tea etc. Also to be met at door would be good. My window was closed at night although the curtains with blowing so there must be a big gap somewhere room was cold. The breakfast was terrible to be honest. I wasn't asked how I wanted an egg it came as scrambled, I rashon of bacon and cold beans and a sausage I left as it didn't look edible it looked very cheap!. I won't be staying here again! Terrible value for money!

  Disliked: The window in my room didn’t close properly and the radiator on the wall didnt work, so the portable radiator wasn’t big enough to heat the room

  Excellnet service / friendly people

  Liked: THe staff member (Indian I believe, but forgot his name) was extremely friendly. I asked for a shaving set and as the hotel did not provide one, he gave me his own. THis shows excellent service as i needed a shave before i had a wedding and didnt pack one. Great service!

  3 Night Stay

  Liked: Bus stop nearby. Price. Breakfast. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again. Spend extra money and stay closer to city center.

  Disliked: Stayed in room 6. Water closet plumbing not professionally finished. Some dirt around shower Hotel definitely needs an update with good workmanship. Trash containers are located outside right by front door. Big issue was no hot water for shower. System uses two valve controls, one for water flow and one for temperature. Host said to run shower for 10 minutes to get hot water. This did not work. Told host a second time and he said he will check. Returned in evening, still no hot water and host never communicated about this again.

  Property was well-located for me but poor in many other ways

  Liked: Location was good for my needs.

  Disliked: Throughout my whole visit, despite complaining, the wash basin in my room drained so slowly it was unusable. Breakfast was poor and the coffee machine didn't work properly in the breakfast room. As a UK national, I was able to complain to the person on site (not that it made any difference) but many of my fellow guests spoke very little English. I paid what I paid based on previous reviews. My experience was very different and, although I visit Edinburgh regularly, I will never stay there again.
