  Liked: The location suited us, we wanted a quiet location.

  Disliked: The hotel is in need of a face lift throughout, in hallways the walls are marked and needs painting. The bed was comfortable. The fittings in the bathroom are dated.

  The hotel provided us with what we wanted for a short stay

  Liked: Staff were excellent, breakfast was good

  Disliked: Severe lack of plgs and no usb sockets. The canopy at the fire door was deceiving, thought it was reception which is further away down a steep hill.

  Liked: Staff helpfull and friendy. Bar area and room clean.

  Disliked: Rooms are bit out dated and worn. Needs modernised. Given location and distance from central Edinburgh i think prices are too high.

  Liked: Staff very pleasant and room was a good size and clean, comfy bed

  Disliked: The room had no window not the hotels fault, I had booked that unknownly, it was far too hot and felt very closed in, will have to watch when booking in the future could not fault anything else

  Liked: bed and with breakfast: good enough breakfast, enough choices. good location, 10-15mins walk to princess street. their breakfast choices were better than their dinner meals.

  Disliked: paid one evening for their dinner, 20 pounds per adult. you can eat as much as you want but food choices can improve and also their taste. the following nights we went out for dinner. overall cleanliness needs improving.
