Liked: Staff, location, comfort & amenities were all fabulous. Great venue for groups of 8 - 12 people.

Disliked: Water drained a little slow from wash hand basin & down stair carpets a little tired looking.

Disliked: Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, particularly due to the poor cleanliness of the room and the rude attitude of the staff. First of all, we were not given the room we had booked online. Instead, we were assigned a different room, and rather than offering a partial refund to compensate for the price difference, the staff only offered to cancel our reservation and refund us, leaving us to find another hotel ourselves at 10 PM. Once we entered the room, we noticed that the beds were poorly made and, upon closer inspection, found multiple stains on the mattress protector that appeared to be blood. The bathroom was also very dirty, with dust everywhere, especially on the toilet, and small puddles of water on the floor, toilet, and bin. We asked the staff to clean the bathroom and change the sheets, but no one ever came. To make matters worse, the bathroom window would not close properly, allowing cold air into the room. Between the poor hygiene, lack of service, and extremely rude staff, this stay was far below our expectations. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.

Liked: I booked an apartment for an overnight stay. I was able to leave my bags before check-in, which was great. The apartment had a king sized bed, 2 bunk beds, kitchen (including microwave) dining table and chairs and a lovely bathroom. Tea, coffee, water, biscuits and crisps were provided. It was clean and nicely decorated Check out was 11am, which was good- no rushing. Breakfast was good-lots of choice. Location was perfect...around a 10 minute stroll to the royal mile. I would recommend and would choose to stay there again.

You get what you paid for

Liked: It is silent, heating and warm water work very well, it is clean. Edinburgh is expensive so price is good.

Disliked: It is not that close to the old town. Breakfast is poor quality. Carpets need some maintenance.
