  Classic Castle setting with a loo view

  Liked: The grounds were exceptional. Staying in the guesthouse of a historical castle was great. Easy access to the tram into downtown.

  Disliked: It was not clear that the second bathroom was only accessible by going outside. Maybe not an issue for some but our requirement was 2 separate bathrooms for 2 couples. It s not very convenient to go downstairs at night. Also a sharp morning wake up

  We had a great 2 days in Edinburgh and the Gogar Castle Cottage was a perfect place to stay

  Liked: Loved the opulent style of decoration, furniture & furnishings. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Great location close to Gogarburn tram stop for travelling into Edinburgh.

  Liked: Beautiful setting. Very peaceful. Friendly, helpful owners. Cottage was swanky, spotlessly clean & had everything you could possibly need. Beds were very comfortable

  Disliked: Slightly further out than we expected but tram service made this easily doable and ran every few minutes x

  A truly enchanting stay in a charming cottage that made me feel like a princess from start to finish

  Liked: Beautiful property - stunning, clean and has a unique feeling to it. Makes you feel like a princess. There really won’t be another property like it for such a reasonable price, well worth every penny! I will definitely be returning, next time we visit Edinburgh.

  Disliked: Not really anything I didn’t like - it’s a little way out from the city centre but the transport links are excellent, so can’t complain.
