  Liked: We stayed in Apartment 3 and had an absolutely spectacular time. The apartment offers a side view of Edinburgh Castle, which never gets old, whether you're having your morning coffee or winding down in the evening. A word about the stairs, since some other reviews mention them as a drawback: there are exactly 43 steps up to the apartment. We travelled with a small child, luggage and a pushchair, and went up and down daily with the pushchair, and it was never a problem for us. Honestly, we don't understand the complaints about the lack of a lift. It's a historic building in the heart of Edinburgh, and that's part of its character. The heavy fire doors are another thing some guests have commented on. They are there because of local fire safety regulations, and it only takes a little reading about Edinburgh's history of fires (including the recent one on Princes Street in July 2026) to understand why these rules matter. We'd much rather have a safe building than a convenient one. We'll definitely choose this location again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

  The worst property management I have ever encountered in my whole life

  Disliked: The electics went off for a few of the houses on the street due to the storm. The agent just sent pacifying emails saying it will be fixed in a couple of hours, which was not true. We had no electric for the times we were in flat. It was inhabitable. The water was run on electric so we never had running water. We had to go elsewhere to wash. We had no light, heating (it was cold), toilet not flushing. The front door code didn't work for most of our stay so it made it very unsecure. The agent didn't bring any torch, bottled water or anything to try and make things a bit better. If nothing goes wrong then I'm sure it's a lovely flat. But if something is wrong you will not get any support. Poorly managed. They claimed it was out of their control so they didn't try to rehouse us or offer any refund.

  Great location, quite central. A nice place overall and a great view!

  Liked: The location was very good. And the place was also very good.

  Disliked: A little bit hassle with the stairs, especially with big luggages, although we were already informed, so it’s not their fault. But other than that, everything was good.

  Liked: Location was good.

  Disliked: The room was on 3rd floor and building has no lift. Carring Heavy luggage is not suitable to take on higher floor. There should be lift, if room allocated above first floor.
