  Liked: Easy to reach from Edinburgh Waverley train station, bus 26 stops right outside the hotel. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very spacious with a large, comfortable bed. Everything was just perfect, nothing to complain about. Highly recommend! 😊

  Quiet and comfortable

  Liked: It is situated a quiet area and is on a bus route with frequent buses to the city centre. The room was clean and while the breakfast choices weren't as wide as in a larger hotel there was sufficient choice and the quality was good. Overall very good value for accommodation within easy reach of the city centre.

  Disliked: The room was a little small, but that is only to be expected in an old building that has been converted to a small hotel so isn't really a complaint.

  Cozy weekend stay

  Liked: Loved that it was cozy. It was also not too far from the city by bus and only 15 mins walk to the beach.

  Disliked: It is a bit dated as you can see from paint cracking but I think it comes with the territory for an older manor like house.

  Liked: We loved the old building, lots of atmosphere. Bus right out the door.
