  Lovely stay in nice surroundings

  Liked: The hotel is a bit off the centre of Edinburgh and therefore more quiet. Due to the bus stop only a few meters down the road everything is just short ride away though. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was sufficient for every need, also for Vegetarians or vegan guests.

  Disliked: Edinburgh is quite an expensive destination in general but from my point of view the rates for the stay to me seemed to be quite high.

  A nice wee break in Edinburgh!

  Liked: The location is good, easy to grab a bus into town so it is very handy for a city break. Staff are all cheery and helpful.

  Disliked: The building is a bit dated, although there has been a decent attempt to modernise it. The main issue is the temperature control in the rooms. The AC kit is old and noisy and inefficient and the staff lock off the controls so there is no in-room control unless you ask front desk to un-lock it. We have stayed here before, so we knew what to expect but it is where the main investment needs to be made.
