  Lovely property, stylish, excellent location, fun decor in each room

  Liked: Perfect location, great ambiance, helpful staff

  Disliked: No one answers the front desk when you call from the room. I would have liked a room with a view and feel that you don’t get the best room, if you book via a booking site, instead of directly with the property

  Overall, not a bad little hotel

  Liked: Great location on George Street. We like the old town but it gets very busy so chose this location for proximity to nice restaurants and bars - especially The Dome! For those people going on the tour buses, the main stop is a very short walk down the street. The staff here are all great - from check in to check out. We stayed in the Paris room which was a great size and has a view over George Street. You do need to roll down the blinds though, if you're taking a shower or getting dressed as the windows don't have any frosting! The bath/shower/closet are separate to the loo which is a bonus although very little space next to the sink to put toilet bags etc. It is more suited to hand washing than a vanity. The lighting in the room is interesting - operated by a very unusual switch system. It took some fathoming out and worked sporadically for us. The lighting in the bathroom/closet isn't great either - especially if you need to have the blind down because of the very "open" windows. There's only really 2 accessible plug sockets in the room so worth taking a multiway adapter which you can plug your charging cables into. Whilst little niggles, yes, it didn't spoil our stay - we regarded them as "quirks"! If you're a light sleeper, you may be put off by some of the noise - the windows have secondary glazing but you can still hear noise from the basement nightclub. It didn't bother us though - the bed was so comfy that we were fast asleep super quickly! The breakfast was lovely - we opted for the traditional fry up. It was well cooked, plentiful and hot.

  Disliked: Lack of space next to the sink. Lighting was difficult to figure out.

  Nice hotel and staff, just too noisy with disco below

  Liked: The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The staff were all accommodating.

  Disliked: The room was noisy. I was on the 2nd floor and I may as well have been in the disco which finished at midnight. Not what I wanted when my day had started at 4:45 and I wanted an early start the next day. The breakfasts start at 8 am which is too late. However, when I told the staff, they arranged an early breakfast. This was two hot sandwiches which were good.

  Great location, nice room

  Liked: The hotel is in a great location. The room was very large and spacious, bathroom was lovely and I was pleased to have both a bath and shower.

Reservations that include 31 December must be prepaid. Your credit card will be debited with the full cost of the reservation within 48 hours of booking. The prepayment is not refundable.

The credit card used to secure the reservation will be used to for your accommodations charge in full 48 hours prior to arrival unless further instructions have been provided prior to arrival to use an alternative card. On arrival at the hotel confirmation of card details will be required for any additional charges during your stay and will be charged on check out.

The hotel will charge a fine to any guests that smokes on the property to cover cleaning costs.
