  Perfect location for exploring the city centre

  Liked: Location is ideal which is the main reason we booked this hotel. Our room was spotless and we had a great shower room.

  Disliked: We’re not too keen on the decor which we found rather dark - both public areas and rooms.. not great when you are getting ready to go out.

  Lovely atmosphere in this hotel and an amazing breakfast!

  Liked: The room was big and the shower amazing. Breakfast was delicious!

  Disliked: We were given the choice to not have the room cleaned as an environmental thing. We could have just saved our towels and still have the room cleaned.

  Lovely relaxing stay in the heart of Edinburgh

  Liked: Lovely property situated close to everything a visitor to the city could want. Plenty of shopping and restaurants all within a few minutes walk with the historic old town in easy walking distance. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were warm and spotless.

  I would choose this hotel again! Great staff, clean and perfect location

  Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was tidy. Breakfast was really nice. The location was obviously perfect.

  Location brilliant, everything else was pretty average

  Liked: The location was superb close to shops, bars and restaurants

  Disliked: We arrived early so understood our room wouldn’t be ready but as there was a storm outside we thought we would just grab a drink at the bar unfortunately we couldn’t access the bar due to it being closed for a private function we were told we could get a drink in the restaurant but we could only have wine which wasn’t a great experience. The room was freezing cold when we first went in and still wasn’t the greatest hours later when we returned from being out. A small one but it just added to the list of the poor experience, the sky channels on the TV worked for about 10 mins and then failed. All in all the location is brilliant but our experience was pretty average

We have no parking on site. Nearby parking is available at St James Quarter car park (postcode EH1 3BP), who offer our guests a discounted daily rate of £17 for 24h. Simply collect you parking ticket on entry, but please ensure to also collect your discount ticket from reception upon departure. Alternatively on street parking is available (restrictions and pricing vary).

When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.

The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.

Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.
