We enjoyed our stay in the big room with a nice window view, all in all a good experience

Liked: This place is very nice and corresponds to the price. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed the view out the huge window.

Disliked: It is quite dated- the house and interior, but everything was clean and tidy.

I really recommend this stay for everyone that wants to connect with local people!

Liked: I loved my stay here the owners are so so incredibly friendly and thoughtful, they did their best to make my stay the most comfortable and memorable ever! They put a good heater in my room so i wouldn’t get cold and stay cozy (which worked wonderfully) they gave me lots of local recommendations (that being food related or attractions to do), they even gave me a thermos and coffee when i told them i had to go to a day trip to the highlands!! I will never forget everything they did for me and the moments i spent with them, they definitely made my stay as a solo traveler, less lonely and so much more fun! Thank you so much again for everything you did for me! I loved every single moment! Also the location of the house is in a quiet and calm neighborhood and walking around at night i always felt safe, so if you’re a woman solo traveler i recommend it!

Disliked: Nothing everything was super nice!

    10 /10 would visit again

Liked: The room was absolutely beautiful, we loved the decor and how it reflected the atmosphere of the city. The location was fantastic - the bus stops were 5-7mins walk away and buses ran often (to centre it was about 15mins ride). There were many pubs/cafes/restaurants and grocery stores one could go to even later in the evening. The owners were also very lovely (just as everyone in the city we talked to) and I really appreciated they refilled the tea bags and milks/coffee every day.

Disliked: It's not really complaint as it's about preference but the pillows were quite high for me (but I still slept well) and the shower had a fixed shower head and no hose which was quite impractical.

Liked: The location was nice, and the room was fine too.

Disliked: The host was the worst part of our stay. He made an insulting racial joke, saying that he likes Japanese people because they don’t complain. This comment was offensive because it implied that other Asian people are complainers and are somehow less desirable guests. The building itself seemed quite old, and we experienced problems when using our power strip with a UK adapter. The host came into our room and swore at us, calling the Chinese-made UK adapter we had brought from the US “rubbish.” However, we realized that the issue might not have been our adapter at all. Even the UK-made hairdryer provided by the accommodation could not run for more than one minute at a time. This made us suspect that there might be an issue with the building’s electrical system. Ironically, the supposedly “rubbish” adapter the host criticized worked perfectly well at the other accommodations where we stayed in the Scottish Highlands. The host’s rude and disrespectful behavior, particularly his racially insensitive comment and the way he spoke to us, made this a very unpleasant experience.

Beautiful, quiet, (oh so quiet) and welcoming

Liked: The room was well furnished, and had a welcome tray with water, biscuits, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. They also provided tissues, face cloths, a beautiful thick cotton blanket in case the duvet was too warm. They also had nighttime chocolates beside the bed, There are laundry facilities (for a small fee) and the house is so far from the road you hear no traffic and no street noise at all. Beautifully quiet. The breakfasts are a lovely variety menu selected, and individually plated, which is absolutely perfect for when you’re travelling and nothing short of delicious with additional items for you’re choosing yogurts, fruit, fruits, jams, compote, juices, cereals, just an awesome display. Our hostess and host were lovely, friendly, and I would not hesitate to recommend staying here

    Disliked: Nothing
