Unhappy due to the smell of damp was overpowering

    Liked: Good location in Edinburgh

Disliked: It was damp. It smelt terribly of damp and mould. The shower was blocked / drained very slowly

    Overall, a good experience

Liked: The host was very nice and helpful. Although the bathrooms were shared, they were always very clean. The bedroom and the shared kitchen were also very clean. The location was a little far from the city centre, but it was easy to walk there. There was a variety of coffee shops and restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Disliked: I already knew beforehand that the bathrooms were shared, but it was a little bit chaotic to wait while other people were using them, especially before going to sleep and in the morning. During my stay, the other guests were also a little bit loud at night.

Liked: Great location. Good host communication, the kitchen and bathroom were nice and well supplied with thoughtful touches (eg toothbrushes, sanitary pads etc). The luggage lock area (using bike locks) was simple and well executed. The room and communal spaces were clean.

Disliked: It's clearly advertised as windowless and it was cheap, you do get what you pay for. I was not, however, expecting a windowless basement room to have no ventilation other than a vented hole in the door and an extractor fan in the shower.

The price and the location was really good. I will use them again

Liked: A comfortable bed, very clean all round, excellent shower. Really good value for money.

Disliked: For the price paid I could not fault anything.

Liked: Location is great, everyone is friendly, and the common rooms are nice. You can leave your luggage safely in there on your last day.

Liked: The room is in the basement, small, and has no window, but since all of this was clearly stated in the listing, it met my expectations completely. There is no physical reception on-site, but communication with Jack through the Booking chat was very quick and easy.
