  Disliked: Room could have been cleaner, loose fittings in rooms. No coffee machine was instant even though advertised as coffee machine. Very expensive for what the room was.

  OK. certainly does not consider all dietary preferences and definitely not an inclusive environment

  Liked: Rooms were clean, food was organised ok.

  Disliked: 1. Room was leaky, the bathroom basin was blocked. We were then made to shift to another room on the 4th floor, when we complained about the leak and the blocked basin. Ideally, this should have been checked and sorted before we moved into the room - would have saved us the hassle of spending the first sleepless night with rain water coming into the room through the windows or using a blocked basin first thing in the morning. 2. Lack of halal options during breakfast and dinner - though our dinner was included in the package, for the lack of halal options we also had to order in. 3. During breakfast, the milk from the coffee machine was just warm and not hot. We like our coffee/tea well hot and not just warm. When asked to heat the milk in a microwave, we were declined due to food safety concerns, which is understandable. But when asked to provide us with hot milk, even that was declined - saying we ONLY had to use the milk from the machine. Not sure how a reputed hotel like Novotel does not promote an all inclusive culture where basic needs are not met with respect.

  My stay at Novotel Edinburgh was unfortunately disappointing due to the way my check-in was handled. I had already paid
