  The room is in excellent position but definitely not value for money - especially not during August

  Liked: The room truly is in an amazing location and was built and equipped quite well.

  Disliked: The room is in serious need of refurbishment. It is urgent that the walls be painted and both the mattress and the pillows (especially the pillows!) be replaced. Also, since the property is above 2 pubs that serve tables right under the bathroom window, it should seriously be considered whether the windows can be replaced or reinforced somehow to both block out the noise and cold, and be able to easily open for ventilation. Of course for further improvement, I would also pay more attention to the cleaning of the place if I were you. For example, the carpet had some tuffs of hair and the covers under the clean pillowcases hadn't been changed. Additionally, to make the room more functional, I would add a mirror in the room that is not in the bathroom or above the bed, and place towel hooks as well as a rack for toiletries in the bathroom as there is currently no place you can put either.

  Amazing location

  Liked: Amazing location, so centrally located. Clean and comfortable room. Lots of stairs but they'd warned us of that so it wasn't an issue. Relatively easy to get into the room. They were very prompt and helpful if we had any questions.

  Location excellent. Bathroom awful

  Liked: The location is excellent.

  Disliked: When we arrived there was the remains of a number 2 in the toilet. It turns out the flusher was not working well and took a long time to refill. The shower took a long time to drain. Which meant 2 people could not have a shower after each other. At the end of a shower there was a pool of water in the tray. It's a shame as the location is excellent. When I had asked for a partial refund I received no response. Disappointing.

  Great location

  Liked: Location is the best, right on the royal mile. Room was small, this was not an issue as spent very little time in room. Room was clean and tidy and a welcome gift box of locally made biscuits.

  Disliked: Steps up to room were steep, this was clearly called out when booking.

  Below Mediocre, Not Stay Again

  Liked: Communication is Great. Location is Great. That's all.

  Disliked: Complete False Advertisement by the property represented itself as 5 Starts towards Booking.com. I was also not expecting the room as 5 Star Hotel Experience from the photos of course but its simply below the mediocre experience except the location was great. Its OK but doesn't deserve the price and please check Google Reviews or anywhere else before deciding it. Heating was not working after increase the Heat Knob, Apperantly someone just closed the Water Input of the Radiator and it started to work out after play with it. Not expecting to troubleshoot, wait, troubleshoot, see the heat etc when you are on the holiday.
