  Great location

  Liked: Great location for 3 Sisters gig. Clean, really well equipped room-kettle and coffee maker with plenty of coffee and milk, huge tv, games console, fridge, even hair straighteners. Bathroom really clean and a good size, comfy bed with plug sockets actually next to the bed which isn't always the case. Noise-wise, I could hear the band sound-checking next door, but it was super quiet by the time I got back to my room, both internally and externally.

  Disliked: It was quite cold and I couldn't figure out the heating or even if it was meant to work in the room, but I was very late getting in due to weather/delayed trains so didn't have time to ask. Price seemed quite steep but I guess you're paying for the convenience of the location.

  Liked: Had to taxi to location, 3 slightly older ladies, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  Disliked: Bit of surprise that the open air bar didn't close until 1pm. Still wasn't a problem for us, nice to see everyone enjoying themselves.

  Disliked: The pub downstairs can get noisy but earplugs are provided and we slept through it.

  Liked: The staff was very kind and helpful at check in. Our room wasn't ready yet, but they took our luggage while we explored. The room was ready 2 hours early, which was fantastic. At check out, the staff helped us book a taxi that arrived immediately. We had clean towels both days, and fresh linens. The location was great in terms of getting to and from the best parts of Edinburgh.

  Disliked: The hotel is right above a bar. Very noisy both nights. Had I known, I would have never picked this hotel. They provide ear plugs, but it did not help. Unfortunately, this completely killed it for me. Being awakened by loud music and drunk people singing until 3 in the morning was not what I had planned.
