  Excellent

  Liked: We were given a complimentary early check-in. That was really good, considering we have a toddler who travelled very early.

  Liked: Spacious, clean apartment and a good location.

  Disliked: One of the windows was broken and we couldnt close it properly. We were on the third floor and it was very windy when we stayed and it kept blowing open. We did request someone to see to it however no one did come.

  Great amenities for the price

  Liked: Very good for the money. Not perfect but definitely a solid choice that we would stay at again.

  Disliked: Mattress cover on sofa had mold marks or some dark discolorations on it. Bathroom fan was loud and barely worked. The soap dispensers need to go.

  Liked: On a positive note, we were pleased with the size of the apartment. It was spacious, comfortable for our group, and included facilities for light cooking, which added convenience to our stay. Unfortunately, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the maintenance and service issues we encountered. We were supposed to check in at 3:00 PM, but our room was only ready an hour later. While we appreciated the staff's gesture of providing a small bag of goodies as compensation, the delay caused us to miss a planned attraction that had already been booked. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the activity and were unable to obtain a refund, resulting in additional disappointment and unexpected costs during our stay.

  Disliked: The most frustrating issue was the broken balcony door panel. It was already damaged when we arrived and remained unrepaired throughout our entire stay. As the door could not be properly closed, cold air continuously entered the apartment, making the living and dining areas extremely uncomfortable. The situation was especially unbearable on Saturday, 24 October, when there was heavy rain and strong winds. We reported the issue twice and genuinely expected it to be resolved. Unfortunately, we received only standard responses, and no effective action was taken.

  Worth a stay if you're in Edinburgh

  Liked: The location was excellent - close to the city centre (and both train stations) while far enough to keep the noise low. The room was quite nice.

  Disliked: The cost of baggage storage on both days (before check-in, after check-out) was fairly substantial. It was a bit tricky trying to find both the hotel and the entrance to the room, given the hotel was across several buildings.
