  Fantastic

Liked: Great hotel. Very comfy and clean. Great location to Eburgh spots. Great staff - David, Davy, and Rob (family member concierges) were fun, informative, helpful in every way and made the stay special!

  Almost perfection!

Liked: Characterful building, much bigger than it appears from the outside. Room was spacious, modern and very clean. Likewise the bathroom with quality toiletries, robes and slippers, underfloor heating, quiet extraction system. There’s a large garden area above the neighbouring cinema. The bar area is cozy and was staffed by two lovely individuals. ALL of the staff seemed genuinely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Just a few minutes’ walk to the railway station and walking distance to the central sights and cultural attractions.

Disliked: Constant, loud snoring could be heard all night coming from a neighbouring room! This can’t be controlled by the hotel, of course. But the insufficient soundproofing just took the shine off a perfection rating for me. I left the radio on all night to distract me and allow me to sleep.

Lovely hotel, let down with the facilities

Liked: Location central, 5mins from the train station and trams outside. Room was fabulous, huge and well equipped Breakfast excellent with likeable staff, very attentive. Evening service closing curtains and pillow mist, 1st night

Disliked: Room wasn't cleaned on Saturday (Friday to Sunday stay) Drinks were not replenished in the fridge. Very limited room service menu. Poor bar service, we were offered 1 zero alcohol beer which was an ipa, coffee machine wasn't on, so would take a while for drinks (3.30pm) Balcony had weeds growing on it.
