  Liked: The location was perfect. Everything you needed was in the room eg iron and ironing board etc etc

  Disliked: I didn't realise when we booked, but l don't think it was made clear, that the toilet was separate from our room, while it was only for us l prefer not having to leave our room. Our room did include a shower and wash basin. And we were given the wrong code for the key safe.

  Fantastic location, great for a couple of nights

  Liked: Great location, easy instructions to check in and store luggage

  Disliked: Could hear conversations from neighbouring rooms and very noisy at night (pub below and glass recycling depot out the front). Earplugs provided though.

  Somewhere to sleep for 2 nights but glad that I wasn’t there any longer

  Disliked: As an older, solo female traveller I felt very vulnerable in the location. Accommodation is tucked away in a dark corner, quite difficult to find in the dark when I arrived, Room very small, bathroom particularly the shower needed a deep clean, Steep narrow stairs for those with mobility problems

  Centrally located, basic accommodation on dirty street

  Liked: The location was central to most of what we wanted to see in Edinburgh. The room was neat and orderly, the bathroom was in the room and worked well. The property let us leave our luggage there early before check in, which helped immensely as we arrived hours before check in. The price was well matched to the accommodation.

  Disliked: It’s at the end of an alley where trash bins are located. The end of the street was very dirty, lots of trash piled up around the area. The shower isn’t full enclosed, it’s one of those open concepts with a half door, which was odd and got water all over the floor. The window was open upon arrival, which didn’t seem necessary.

  Liked: The location was great. A block from Greyfriars and very near the Royal Mile. The directions to find the place were very clear. The video was very helpful.

  Disliked: Very small room. It was difficult to figure out where to put our luggage.
