  Pleasant but could have been better

  Liked: The pool and spa The breakfast Helpfulness of some staff in restaurant and on desk

  Disliked: More staff needed eg 24 hour maintenance man,domestic staff. Main problem was heating turned off in a high corner upgrade room on 29 th October and room cold enough to make us shiver.Heating took about an hour to kick in.Poor girl on reception on her own and had to come up with heater and extra duvet herself.Hotel of this calibre cannot leave heating off in winter before guests arrive.No compensation offered except a coffee each.Need clear instructions in room on how to operate heating too

  Very expensive for poor accommodation

  Liked: The location was good and the staff were friendly

  Disliked: The room wasn’t very clean, the shower was dirty, the carpet was very stained and the lock was broken on the bathroom door, so that the door would not stay closed.

  Liked: We paid for the club room and it was very small to be honest not big at all. We thought it would have been much larger.

  noisy room left feeling tired

  Liked: the room was clean and comfortable

  Disliked: our bedroom was above the hotel kitchens The noise started at 4am until 23 00 hours which made it unpleasant to sleep. My wife and I have been coming to The Village Hotel on a number of occasions and always very happy. This was a bad experience.
