  Perfect location for our needs

  Liked: Great location! Beautiful characterful building

  Disliked: Manhole cover out on the street made a terrible click clunk noise every time a vehicle drove over it! Nothing the hotel could do about it but we did report it to the council

  A bit overpriced for a rear room with no view

  Liked: Clean room comfy bed and modern bathroom and shower enclosure

  Disliked: View from window poor. Old scaffolding in place musty smell and pigeons roosting on scaffolding every night. Fancy tea bags but no standard breakfast tea or tetley etc

  Won’t be back to the hotel or the area. All very bad value for money and not deserving of the hype

  Liked: In the town centre with friendly host but the town is horrible!

  Disliked: No WiFi, no tv. Expensive for what we had!

  2 short a stay need 2 stay longer n b prepared

  Liked: Breakfast for what was paid for was not top notch, I expected a steak lorne it wasn't, links was far 2 small, mushrooms was 2 big Black pudding n egg were both OK haggis not ideal The scone was OK The full breakfast was bit much for £19 - it wasn't quality unfortunately Everything else was fine, I had 2 pay just over 200 for a room. On a Thursday wet nyt an was getting to the stage I was desperate solo traveller. And no choice I had 2 pay or it be sleeping on a bench an wasn't prepaid for that n or get bus to Edinburgh then bk 2 glasgow.... Was a bit shock, couldn't book anything earlier due to WiFi issues on the train n signal was poor, scotrail really needs 2 fix this.....but part v that experience I did enjoy the stay host was very good

  Disliked: Just the breakfast shame of the quality Couldn't sleep on the bed 2 soft I thought Can't on 1st nyt. Shower was good but no privacy if u had more than 1 in the room staying

  Would not recommend

  Liked: location, nice view of the harbour, comfortable bed

  Disliked: An awful lot of stairs with no lift. The whole place needs revamped. Torn curtains and the carpet was in a terrible state. Very expensive for the state of the place. Would not return
