Supposed to be happy stay
Liked: The location, the food was good, we had breakfast liked it was self serve, the bedding was very clean, so was the room, bathroom was spotless.
Disliked: The room I booked was for a seaview, yes it was if you were standing, it was classed a superior room double, it was just a normal double, so was very disappointed, there was only one comfy chair, the other just ordinary.the cups, need to replace, very worn.Very small double bed

A Couple of Days in Oban
Liked: I like the position of this hotel and we have stayed many many times. Close to the ferry pier but quiet.The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is really good with plenty of choice, both hot & cold.
Disliked: Oh dear. Wallpaper peeling, leaks, tired carpets. Our room was in the turret on the 5th floor. The shower pressure frquently dropped to a drizzle before kicking in again. Whilst we didn't eat in the hotel ( we usually eat in the bar area which has always been very good) on this occasion, I overheard people (whilst in the lift) on coach trips complaining about the food served in the upstairs dining area. This was sad to hear. The Internet stopped working on our final day but was up and running on the morning of checkout.
Comfortable and well catered for, great breakfast and dinner
Liked: It's an old building and some of the decoration needs re doing but the place was spotless. With a bit of character. Food was excellent too. Bar should have Scottish beers though.
