    Lovely apartment, some management issues

Liked: This apartment is extremely comfortable and well-appointed. It's new, clean, nicely decorated, and has an incredibly well-stocked kitchen. Checking in and out was simple. The parking space was very convenient, and the location was good -- just a short walk into town.

Disliked: The management team needs to be better about communicating with each other and guests. Our wifi went out the morning of the second day of our stay. The management team was initially responsive, first walking us through restarting the router and then sending someone to check on it later that day. The repairman said the router needed to be replaced and someone would resolve the issue that evening or the next morning at the latest. By evening, though, we had not been updated about the replacement. When I contacted the management team, it was as if they had no idea about what had previously happened. They assured me that the issue would be resolved. However, the next morning, they sent someone else out (a different person) who just tried restarting the router, which had already been done three times. We thought he was there to replace the router as we'd been told the day before. I contacted the team again, and it was once again as if they had no idea what had been done the previous day. Needless to say, the wifi wasn't repaired that day. It wasn't until we had already checked out (day 4) that they contacted us to say someone would be coming to replace the router. I had told them on the first day of the outage that I needed wifi to work and was assured the problem would be solved quickly, which it wasn't. It was very frustrating to have to explain the problem each time and especially annoying not to have wifi as promised. The team was always responsive and apologetic, but I feel they should've handled this problem quickly (as promised), communicated more efficiently with each other and with us, and, failing that, provided some sort of compensation for the inconvenience, as it was an expensive stay. The property is lovely, but I wouldn't have much confidence in the management to solve issues that may come up during a stay.

Overall, a lovely apartment let down by poor management, inadequate communication and a lack of transparency

Liked: A lovely, comfortable and well-presented apartment in a great location but let down by poor communication.

Disliked: We were disappointed on arrival to discover extensive scaffolding and netting surrounding the building, with blue and white plastic sheeting completely obscuring the outlook from both bedroom windows. The accompanying photographs show the view from both bedroom windows during our stay in September 2026. In addition, the advertised designated parking space, which was important to us, was unavailable because numbered parking had been suspended during the building works. No alternative spaces were available either, as scaffolding and workers’ cabins had reduced the parking available to residents. Most importantly, none of this had been disclosed before our arrival. An April 2026 review here had already highlighted the scaffolding and parking problems. Management publicly acknowledged the issues and promised clearer communication to future guests. Yet by our stay in September, more than 4 months later, we still received no advance warning and were even directed to park in the unavailable space. We raised our concerns on the evening of arrival, but management took five days to respond. We subsequently had to chase repeatedly for a resolution, eventually escalating the matter to Booking.com.

Liked: Great location, quiet and clean - all we would want in accommodation.

Disliked: Only not a 10 on this occasion due to the presence of scaffolding on the building exterior. We note it will be temporary but it was a little bleak visually on arrival and obscured a bit of light from the windows. Once down it would be a 10/10.

It’s a shame because had we been warned we would either not have booked it, or at least been prepared. The flat is lovel

Liked: The flat is spacious and well equipped

Disliked: The entire building is covered in heavy duty construction scaffolding, even covering the windows. It looks and feels like living on a construction site. No view. Builders walking along scaffolding immediately outside bedroom and living room windows. Not what we expected at all.

In the middle of a building site

Liked: Spacious, clean and close to the town

Disliked: Very disappointed on arrival to see the apartment was literally in the middle of a building site. Workmen banging, drilling and walking past (very dirty) windows outside the apartment. If I had known it would be as disruptive I would not have booked the property.

disappointing due to building works, could be a great stay at other times

Liked: the property was large and a very nice apartment in. a great location

Disliked: the property was under external repairs so had scaffolding all around it and workers climbing around banging during the day, not very nice to wake up to that on holidays and also have people walking past your windows. This was not highlighted before I booked the property only 2 days before so they would have known and could have advised which would have affected my decision to book this. Also they provide a coffee machine but no pods - a small gesture that would be appreciated as most other places we stayed in provide a couple at least.
