    Hell on earth

Liked: The apartment and location were great, could have been top marks…..

Disliked: Not the property in the photos, it was actually better which should be shown. There was no mention of the Lammas fair being right outside the window- noise and parking were absolutely awful, especially when I had been clear I was travelling with a 4 year old. We couldn’t sleep. Whilst the property would’ve been great, I’m so disappointed in this from the service.

Lovely & clean in a great setting close to cafes bars & shops just a bit difficult to gain entry on arrival

Liked: Clean comfortable had everything we required for a short stay

Disliked: Trying to get into the lockbox outside we were given the wrong PIN number & had to phone emergency number.

Our stay was disappointing. This property is perhaps only for a 1/2 night stop over

Liked: St Andrews is a lovely place to visit with some lovely shops and restaurants and the beautiful coast and golf courses. The property was very clean. When we asked for a coffee machine, advice regarding rubbish disposal and a few more washing machine tablets, this was done very kindly and very quickly by all concerned. Great shower in the bathroom.

Disliked: The town itself has taken a little bit of a dip - shops closed, a bit dirtier in places but overall, beyond some parts of Market Street, it was still lovely. The property itself we found noisy. Noise, intrusive music, banging, cars and shouting regularly bled through from the street, shops below and other properties at various times throughout the day and evening. The floors noticeably all ran off at a horrible angle throughout the flat with very heavy doors which closed with a fair bang. It was difficult to cook and dispose of rubbish - you had to call for a rubbish pick up about which I felt awkward despite it being kindly offered and picked up very swiftly by a lovely lass on the one occasion we asked. The hob was poor - it took an age to even boil an egg so we gave up and ended up eating out for breakfast and dinner or collecting take away every day, which we would have preferred not to do.The flat just felt very confined, especially in the living room/kitchen area. The property was very clean but it seemed in need of a little TLC. There was odd, patchy white paintwork behind the bathroom door; there were a few (coffee?) stains on the carpets and rug; the main bedroom had a stale smell so we decamped to the other bedroom which seemed fresher and less noisy; you had to use extension cables for convenient power points in both bedrooms; the dining table and chairs wobbled and you sat at an odd, uncomfortable angle because of the floors run off so badly. We didn't really look forward very much to going back there at the end of a day out. It really just wasn't very peaceful, inviting or relaxing and not the place for us unfortunately. We love St Andrews and know it well, but both the venue and its location were not for us at all. We felt it unsuitable for a longer 12 night stay and for the type of stay we were seeking.

Would have been much nicer if they had forwarned me about the construction going on just below the bedrooms

Liked: The property was clean. The location was great

Disliked: No where in the description did they describe the construction that would start at 7 am. Banging drilling etc.
