Guest reviews
Exceptional
Liked: View is great and located very near to the national park with many hiking trails.
Liked: Great staff, lovely view, excellent location
If in Arinsal stay here
Liked: The room was fantastic,it had everything you need for a hiking holiday and plenty of room for walking.f boots and rucksacks. The view from the balcony was nothing short of sensational. The location is excellent, you are a couple of minute walk from the restaurants and bars. However what impressed me most were the staff, we had an issue with a lost bag on our transfer and they couldn't do enough to help out. They went about and beyond, thank you.
Disliked: Self check in was tricky but the lovely staff came and helped
Liked: . If looking for nightlife/ entertainment etc Arinsal may not be for you in summer as its very quiet. A quiet relaxing break is what we were after so Arinsal was just perfect for us. Whilst my review below seems quiet negative, i have tried to provide the information i would have liked before booking. That said, the views from our balcony were fantastic, and there is plenty of room to sit and unwind on an evening. Arinsal is a great location for exploring and most places can be reached by car in around 30-40 minutes. Plenty of free parking at the rear of the hotel. There is also a Washing machine & clothes airer in the apartment that makes packing easier. Just bring a few detergent tabs. Trying not to be negative as we had a fantastic break. But with a little TLC and thought, this place could be fantastic. There is a regular bus service and a fair selection of food outlets, but be mindful some are closed during the week at the end of the summer season Overall, i I found the staff extremely polite and friendly but maybe a little too laid back. I probably wouldn't pick this accommodation if I was to visit Arinsal again but if you are just looking for a basic crash pad, somewhere to sleep and shower without any refinery then this place would be great for you.
Disliked: We arrived around 4.30pm to find reception closed. Auto check-in simply didn't work, not just for us, another British couple had the same issue a few days later. Wouldn't be a problem but reception is closed from 12 noon till 5pm. So plan your arrival before 12 or after 5pm if you can. Once in the room, through a door in need of adjustment as it didn't open or close without a bit of effort, you are greeted with a very basic room and kitchenette, comprising of a 2 ring hob, 1 saucepan and 1 frying pan. Crockery and cutlery for 4 people. If you want a very simple meal, you may be ok but eating in wasnt really a viable option for us. The previous occupants had left with the safe key and the staff have no master key, so don't lose yours. When I asked, the staff seemed quiet surprised and said not many guests want a safe. I was given another safe, which was lockable but just loose in the wardrobe. not fixed to anything, so kind of pointless really. Continental breakfast cost 10 euros. Very over priced for what was actually offered. Cereal, yoghurt, fruit & shop bought pastries. We found breakfast in a local coffee shop down the road was much better value. With the exception of the dining room, the whole place is in need of a little TLC perhaps a resident handyman/woman or at least one who visits each week to keep on top of things. Plug fixings were a little dubious/loose WiFi is hit and miss, ended up switching it off and using data. The room would have massively benefited from a small fan to help circulate the air too. A "Cleaner" came twice in our 7 night stay... changed towels but did not change bedding until the night before we checked out. We are tidy people and clean up after ourselves so didn't require much cleaning, but the room was not swept or mopped at all during our stay. There is a free pool table which would have been a nice touch if the hotel spent the few euros on putting tips on the cues
Beautiful hotel in the mountains
Liked: Stunning views in a beautiful village, the place was very comfortable with a little kitchen- everything you need
Liked: Nice location, kind of at the end of the populated areas, but that was good for me. Large parking where you find a place even late in the evening. The washing machine was a good thing to have.
Disliked: Only 4 cups, 4 glasses, 4 pieces of cutlery (forks, knives, spoons), 4 plates...so you have to start the dishwasher after every meal. The pan was really bad and broken, so good that I had mine. The apartment is suitable for 2 people; with more, it gets crowded and claustrophobic. If you open the couch, you can't open the balcony window and barely fit between the couch and the table. So, you have to close the couch every day to have a bit of room.
