  Good location but few issues made the stay only average

  Liked: Location was great

  Disliked: Keys weren't there when we arrived even though we double/triple checked we could check in after 3pm. There were multiple key lock boxes so clearly the whole building is short let and the other lock boxes were open with their keys in them which made us pretty nervous from a security PoV (indeed one day some people with a dog were loitering in the lobby and quickly went upstairs when we arrived). How many people had access to our apartment? In any case we had to call the owners, wait outside in the freezing cold for 30 minutes until the owners arrived in a brand new Mercedes with the key... While there was on ensuite bathroom next to the master bedroom it was literally only a 'bath' room, with a shower and bath but no toilet. There was only a single toilet near the front door. And that bathroom was the only shower or bath at all so everyone had to share. The basin the bathroom was broken so the plug was permanently in and you couldnt empty it. While there was plenty of toilet paper there was no shower soap or dish washing liquid at all and so presumably we are expected to purchase that ourselves for the stay. Television was / is tiny with a massive bracket.

  Liked: Easy check-in, parking without a problem, near to the city centre. Huge room, super equipment. Two dormitories.

  Compensation promised by the agent, and, surprise surprise, we have heard nothing!

  Liked: The apartment was immaculately clean, the location was quiet and the parking facilities were excellent. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable.

  Disliked: Given the wrong entry code, the lift was not working, one of our party was disabled, his bed was a sofa bed (not mentioned in the specifications), no comfortable seating, the dishwasher did not work, the kitchen utensils were brand new but inadequate, the shower flooded the bathroom and we had to try to save the wooden floor in the kitchen. A lack of privacy (one bedroom accessed through the other.)Inadequate storage for clothes.

  Didn't get what I paid for

  Liked: Location

  Disliked: Didn't get the apartment we specificlly booked (2 bedrooms, that we paid extra for), got an 1 bedroom apartment due to "upgrade" according to host. But the truth was overbooking the apartment we had especially booked. The lack of the extra bedroom was not informed by host, but discovered whenentering apartment. We also received wrong code for key, but could figure that one out. We canceled the booking on the spot and received confirmation by sms payment will be fully paid back by booking. Had to call booking a few days later to have this confirmed, since host stopped answering sms about confirming the cancelation with booking as promised. Booking fixed the refund after my request (great customer service) and apologies for all the inconvenience. Something the host should have done!
