  Liked: Thanks so much to Thomas and Monika for their warm welcome and kindness, we had a great time staying in this beautiful house, decorated with great taste and authenticy. The view from the garden is beautiful and peaceful. Wish we would have stayed longer:)

  Superb apartment at the top of the old town

  Liked: As with most apartments i appreciate the kitchen had sugar, salt, pepper, coffee, herbs. The bathroom had toothpaste, extra new brush, tampons, aftershave balm. Those little things that makes your vacation perfect,even if you forgot to stop at the supermarket. The apartment is located at the edge of the blue zone (center area). The host saved us a parking place but I think you can find a free place in the street above the apartment. Entering the apartment takes 15 stairs from the street. It's an old building but very well maintained. The kitchen is like in the 70s and fully equipped. The plates are genuine Zweibelmuster! (Czech made). It has a small toilet room, one bathroom. One huge kitchen, One huge bedroom (with piano) and one living room with 40" cable tv. High ceiling, high windows. Sound proof. This is a quiet area anyhow. can easily accommodate 4 people. Shaders will block only 70% of the huge windows. Every room has radiator (great heating, as the host pre-heated the apartment for us in November). I had hot water within a few seconds no matter what hour. Not sure how the apartment in the summer but it has very thick walls. Thomas, the host, is very responsive in whatsapp. he is such a kind man. Living room has an IKEA retractable sofa which is very compfy for sleeping as well as sitting. Internet: access point repeater provides 11mbps download and 4mbps upload. Very basic but stable.

  Disliked: Not much. You have to be nit picking to find bad things. Light in the front door. The host leaves the key in a lock box but there is no street light. I wish the apartment had a laundry machine for long stays. You need to get used to a high toilet that was built for elderly people. The living room has an authentic parquet. It squeaks at night when you walk. Known issue with old parquet.

  Fabulous place!!!

  Liked: The property was so charming with classic Austrian style and furniture. We had the entire first floor to ourselves with a big kitchen, living room, and bedroom (with super comfortable bed). Absolutely everything you need is supplied in the well stocked kitchen. The house is situated in a great location. It is up a hill but a short walk down to the pedestrian zone with great restaurants, wine bars, ice cream, shopping, etc. The main train and bus station are a 10 minute walk and very convenient. There is a lovely private yard and patio with table and chairs to sit out and enjoy breakfast or wine/snack in the evening. The views from the patio of the mountains and Monastery in the distance is stunning. The hosts are wonderful, they are very friendly, warm, and accommodating. Our best stay in Austria!

  Peaceful cosy getaway

  Liked: The house was so beautiful. We stayed for 4 nights and wish it could have been longer. It had all the facilities we needed. Cute little courtyard garden with great views. The bed was super comfy. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. Not to mention how beautiful the area is! The house is a very quick walk down to the old town (Although there is a small hill).

  Disliked: nothing!

  Perfect stay for people who appreciate cosiness, authenticity and historical reference

  Liked: I love this place, it's really a hidden gem. It had all the charm you need for a memorable stay and amazing walks to do right from the house door. I had great communication with the host; it was simply perfect. Thank you for hosting me, I will return in spring!
