Liked: Old-world charm and modern convenience! Staff was wonderful and location terrific. Yes, there is an elevator. Be forewarned that reception closes at 7 PM; not a problem for guests, but if you are arriving later, get instructions from staff before you arrive.

Liked: The hotel is ideally located, just across the bridge from the cathedral and fortress, with plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was very comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The hotel was also very quiet, which was a real bonus. Breakfast was lovely, with a great variety of options. I particularly liked that the waitress asked if we would like eggs and then cooked them fresh to order. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel.
Disliked: The only minor issue we experienced was that our room was a little too warm on the first night, but this was easily resolved by turning off the radiators.
Good to know
Please note that the Old Town is a pedestrianized area. Guests can drive to the hotel for unloading luggage. Access is only possible via Bergstraße. The reception provides reduced tickets for the Linzergasse public parking garage (at Glockengasse 4a).
Arrival and departure is possible from Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 11:00. From 11:00 onwards and on Sundays and public holidays guests require a code which is available upon request via the telephone. Guests can call Altstadt Hotel Stadtkrug free of charge from the bollard by the property.
When traveling with pets, please note that an extra charge of 10 per pet, per night applies.
