Fabulous
Lovely small hotel with family feel in the historic old town
Liked: The location is great. We enjoyed strolling around the old town and looking in the lovely shops, visiting Mozart's birthplace just around the corner and enjoyed a great gluten free meal at the restaurant next door (not part of the hotel but they arranged a booking for us prior to our arrival and the restaurant reviews regarding gluten free food choices was one of the reasons we chose this hotel). We had breakfast at the hotel and it was quite satisfactory. We were provided with gluten free bread for our breakfast upon request and we managed to have eggs and cheeses, fruits, yoghurt etc. It was quiet at night for sleeping. Highly recommend for a short stay. Our adult daughter had a single room next to ours and it was relatively spacious as far as single rooms go. She was happy with her room. It was close enough for us to walk to catch the Panorama bus tour we had booked (about 15 minutes walk). We found a large Billa supermarket not far from the hotel to get gluten free snacks and fruit for our bus tour. We also sat outside at a few nearby cafes/bars for a wine and coffee. A pleasant area. We felt safe. Despite being a restricted traffic area taxis/Uber can drop you off and pickup very close by/outside the hotel without issue. Thank you Hotel Elefant.
Good location
Liked: The location is amazing, in the middle of the old city. Everything is close of there. The service was good and the room comfortable.
Disliked: The price of the breakfast there is more expensive than normal.
Hotel Elefant was a perfect spot right in the middle of old town Salzburg!
Liked: The location was absolutely perfect! The front desk help was so kind and helpful. It was so nice to be able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we waited on our train. This was several hours. Thank you!
