Guest reviews
Fabulous
Liked: Big rooms, easy to get there with train or bus from/to center. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Quiet loud trafick noise around.
Overall good experience RUINED by TERRIBLE AGGRESSIVE FRIGHTENING BEHAVIOR on the part of one lady
Liked: The room was large, clean, comfortable, with enough chairs, storage and a luggage rack. There was a lot of natural light and ventilation. The bathroom is large and clean. The location is outstanding. A tram stop at the back gate, a restaurant next door, and a supermarket a step away.
Disliked: No microwave oven in the room. There could be at least one in the common lounge area. There is no electric kettle and tea / coffee bar in the rooms either. There is an arrangemen in the lounge, but in a self-service hotel it is expected in the room. All the rooms are on the first floor, but there is no elevator or ramp. This struck home for me because I carry a knee injury, so especially with suitcases, it was a bit difficult. BUT we had a HORRIBLE experience as we were leaving. It left us shaken and traumatised. When we checked out, the lady at reception kindly agreed to let us stay on in the lounge, with our luggage donwstairs, for an hour. My wife stepped back into the room to activate an app with the wi-fi. THEN this lady just went ballistic. She launched into the most DISTURBING TERRIFYING TIRADE, made some statements that SMACKED OF RACISM, said my wife is a LIAR and DISHONEST without specifying WHY. I tried to calm her down, saying that only kindness and politeness are required. She just got louder and more threatening! She THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE and SEVERAL times PRETENDED to call them. As we were loading our luggage into the van to leave, one item remained inside the lobby and the automatic door locked. The lady REFUSED TO OPEN THE DOOR and let us collect the luggage until I let her TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH OF MY CREDIT CARD! This is totally unacceptable - I would imagine SHE could be reported to the police for this! She was so AGGRESSIVE, VIOLENT, THREATENING, that we were traumatised and did not take a video of her as we should have. We just wanted to get as far away from her as possible! All in all, although we were comfortable during our stay there, I would never set foot in that place again. An otherwise good stay was ruined by the lady's horrible outburst that bordered on racism.
Liked: Pros: location, nearby bus stop, price, spar near the hotel.
Disliked: I don't understand why the hotel has such high reviews. Stayed at single room. Cons: - it doesn’t have any ac, they brought a fan to the room, but there wasn’t any socket for it. The room has only one socket (another on the 2m high with the tv). - Essentially you can use only one socket, no socket near the bad (you have to decide: charge the phone or laptop, or be in a sauna). - You have to open the window, but outside noise from the parking could wake you up in the middle of the night. - Nearby restaurant doesn’t work on Sunday, on weekday it starts from 11 am, so forget about breakfast. Also forget about a late dinner.
Liked: strategic location near bus stop, only four stops from the main bus station, clean room, easy check-in process, hot water, spacious room for one person. the shared toilet downstairs was also clean and i never wait to use it
Disliked: bed is a bit too hard for my liking
Wouldnt stay here again
Liked: Not alot
Disliked: Its very old and it is located in between a main street and the train station., No air conditioning.
Good budget option
Liked: I booked this for the Super Cup Final so it was more expensive than usual as where all hotels. It's a good fairly budget option a little out from centre but easily accessible on the trams. You get a free travel pass in Salzburg so it's very easy to get around.
Disliked: Nothing really.
Good to know
