I will remember the beauty of Vienna - not the hotel room itself (neither specifically negative, not particularly good)

Liked: Decent size room (flat), good location, nice gesture to have free coffee at the reception. Tram and U-bahn are within easy reach. Vienna is truly fantastic and the hotel allows to discover the city in a convenient way.

Disliked: There was no view (looking at an inner wall/shaft), rendering the room rather dark and closed-off. It was not possible to open a window in the room. Most of the staff needs hospitality training and the eggs at breakfast remain on a stove (making them grossly overcooked).

Liked: Room was lovely and great facilities.

Disliked: Receptionist told us we could receive early check in if we were willing to wait 30 minutes. We did that and then stood in the queue again for reception. Couple in front of us were given early check in and when it was our turn the receptionist said we could not check in as we were too early. Very disappointing as we were only following their orders.

    Generally comfortable except for temperature

Liked: My partner and I were first given a room facing the courtyard with windows that could not be opened. The room was stuffy and warm and lowering the thermostat didn't help. We had to open the door to the corridor to get some air. The next day we were given another room facing Urania. It was much more spacious and the windows could be opened vertically. The sound insulation is quite good to block out the busy street, and the view was great. The windows helped but the room still got warm after we closed them, despite lowering the thermostat to the minimum. The bathroom has no window or extractor, so after a shower the only way to get rid of the steam is to open the door to the room, which doesn't help with the room climate. Apart from the temperature it was a comfortable stay, but I would think twice about staying during a time of year when effective climate control is needed. The WiFi had no password, which is a security concern. 24h reception was convenient and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I will not recommend generally. For the same price of premium room there were better options for sta

    Liked: Location is great.

Disliked: The biggest unpleasant surprise was the fact that in the room we initially got, it was not allowed to open windows. This was not clearly stated before booking. This was explained as security regulation requirements. However, somehow if we were to upgrade, then the windows would be possible to open. I felt deceived. The staff generally was fine except for the receptionist who repeatedly mentioned that we should pay for the upgrade. Not nice.
