  Nice and cosy

  Liked: Location, near Westbahn train station and near Mariahilferstrasse. It was very clean, towels changed daily; breakfast very good and quite varied. The reception staff are very kind and friendly.

  Disliked: The coffee machine at the reception was broken. The room was small, with the toilet separate from the bathroom (which had a shower). The room door do not close well; you have to pull them very hard. And the room price is very high—3 nights now cost more than 7 nights did a few years ago.

  Surely expected more

  Liked: The location is as central as it gets. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extremely good, a lot of options with a lot of quality items on offer. There is an option to take a private garage.

  Disliked: The hotel is run down - the lift says 180kg capacity on the outside and 150kg on the inside:). It can barely fit 1 person with luggage. Everything was ready for renovation long time ago. Rooms were ultra small and packed to the max - you can't properly step on the side of the bed, it has like 20cm between the wall. Getting to our room seemed like going through catacombs. The 3rd bed was not really comfortable sofa which simulated the bed. Shower was really small. Light was next to non existent, I don't think I've had worse light in any of the hotels I ever were in. The guy on the front desk seemed puzzled by our late arrival (I noted on the messages that we will arrive late), and to me it seemed that in computer there was no input that we should be there - he was super friendly, so not his fault, probably something wrong with the system itself.

  Excellent location close to the Westbanhof train station

  Liked: As always, my stay at Hotel Westbahn was perfect. I keep coming back because of the lovely staff (both at the reception and the housekeepers), the warm atmosphere, the excellent facilities. My room had a lovely window that could be fully opened. I had air conditioning (which I did not need, but it was still nice to have). The bed was comfy, as always, and the room exceptionally clean. The location of the property is unbeatable for those travellers who need to or wish to be close to the Westbanhof train station. The perks, in addition to being close to the trains and buses, include shops that are open longer that in other locations in Vienna, and a wonderful food court with lots of options. There is also a bus from the airport which takes you directly to the Westbanhof station, and then it is only a couple of minutes on foot to the hotel.

  Disliked: I love everything about Hotel Westbahn and I will come back for sure.

  Who would want to stay in a room with no windows?
