Very good
Liked: A very good breakfast.
Disliked: over all happy
Enchanting Magical City
Liked: Friendly reception staff, who assisted with all requests and queries at the Lindner Hotel. Delicious breakfast and compliments to the chefs! Comfortable and luxurious room. On site self-serve cafe appreciated for quick snacks. Great idea to reward non-cleaning of room with a free beverage at the very cozy bar. Location excellent and next to the Botanical gardens and Belvedere Palace. Be amazed at the gardens, the palace and do book a tour. A 7-10 minute walk from the city, with many historical sites along the way, and may require more time as you will get caught in the history and beauty of the city. Transport easily accessible from the hotel. Palaces, Art Museums, Opera houses and spend a morning or evening listening to classical music and do indulge in the many coffee shops.
Liked: Excellent location, 15 minutes walk to central Vienna and very handy for visiting Belvedere. Comfy bed and quiet room overlooking inner area - layout is slightly odd with only part partitioned off bathroom but didn't make any difference to us. Fantastic choice and quality of food at breakfast buffet, very helpful staff.
good experience
Liked: breakfast was quite good. room was big enough and quiet.
Disliked: AC was not heating the room.
Liked: Only the breakfast—a typical European hotel breakfast.
Disliked: I booked a Junior Suite with a large bed a full year before my arrival! Yet when I checked in, I was given a tiny room with two very narrow single beds separated by a bedside table. I went down to reception and explained: “I booked a Junior Suite with a large bed a year ago. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood something, but this looks like a tiny room with two tiny beds.” After ten minutes of checking the booking system, an explanation finally emerged: the lock on my assigned suite was broken. The receptionist asked whether I could spend one night in the smaller room, as a technician would come the next day and fix it. Having arrived at 1 a.m., I agreed. I was travelling for work, with a suitcase full of shirts and a suit that needed hanging up, and five or six meetings every day. Moving between rooms was hardly convenient. The following evening, I returned from my meetings and went to reception. A different staff member was on duty, so I had to explain everything again. He listened and confirmed that the technician had come but had been unable to repair the lock. I was asked to wait another night. On day three, the problem was still unresolved. I was offered a standard room with a large bed for one night, with another promise that my suite would definitely be ready the following day. I explained that I had too many things to keep packing and unpacking, and would prefer to move directly into the suite once it was ready. Needless to say, it was not ready the next day either. With only two nights left, I gave up trying to get the room I had booked. What shocked me most was that my card was charged the full price of the Junior Suite, despite my never having stayed in it. In my view, charging for a room category that was never provided is deeply dishonest. Unfortunately, I also left a valuable tie clip in the room when I checked out. I contacted the hotel both by email and through Booking.com, but received no response. I would strongly advise against staying at this ho
Liked: Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Great value for money
