  We really enjoyed our stay

  Liked: Excellent breakfast. Comfortable and warm room. Very well connected. Only 3 minutes walking from the metro station.

  Excellent location, friendly staff, great breakfast comfortable if not exactly luxurious

  Liked: Hotel Rudy has an excellent location close to the main train station and U-Bahn (5 minutes walk) and tram links to the rest of the city. It's in a residential area - locals don't seem to worry about leaving expensive cars out on the street at night. There's some graffiti but the area was quiet and never felt threatening. The room was simple, the initial impression was a little plain and functional, but you're probably visiting to see the city, not the room. Access is old style - with a key rather than one of those key cards which activates everything in the room. The shower was excellent - clean and modern. The bathroom was perfectly fine for me but maybe a little cramped for a larger guest. No air-con but a quiet and efficient fan in the ceiling (tested but not needed during our stay at the end of October) and the room was always at a comfortable temperature. Breakfast is excellent - muesli etc. yoghurt, scrambled eggs, cheese ham, sausages, vegetables, different types of rolls, croissants and fruit. Coffee, different types of teas, juice etc. provided by machines. The breakfast staff are friendly and efficient at keeping everything clean tidy and replenished.

  Disliked: Not a problem for me, but some guests might miss having a t.v. in the room - it's probably a good thing though as noise insulation doesn't seem great between rooms - doors banging in echoey corridors etc. Be aware of your fellow guests! The hotel has a no noise policy after 10pm which is sensible and mostly adhered to. On the whole though, I slept well throughout the week that I stayed and I'm a light sleeper. Again not a big problem but the room cleaning was bit erratic - cups and glasses were never cleaned or replaced which seemed unusual, but hardly a big issue. Towels were always changed, even when we preferred them not to be and there was no cleaning or linen change at all on the day before we left.
