  Rather nice, despite of the problems

  Disliked: Minor and major cleaning problems. Major issue was finding a faeces stained piece of underwear in the wardrobe. After complaint the owners of the property did not react at all. Minor issue was the small amount of toilet paper for such a long stay. After complaint it was rectified, however.

  Liked: The location was alright but it was still a bit of walk from KU Leuven where we had to spend most of our time.

  Disliked: So many things went wrong from beginning to end. First, the property charged me twice. It took numerous email exchanges, phone calls, and messages before I finally received a refund. Second, we booked accommodation for three people but were given only one key. The garbage was never taken out, the towels were never replaced, the stove was extremely slow to heat up—it took about 30 minutes just to fry eggs—the bathroom filter was clogged, no bath mats were provided, and both the patio door and the screen door were broken, making it difficult to get fresh air into the apartment or cool the rooms down. We experienced a heat wave during our stay, yet no fans were provided. By chance, we ran into a woman who became extremely hostile toward my friend from Cameroon. She shouted things such as, “Get out of here” and “I do not want to see you.” After we calmly insisted, she provided only one fan for three people staying in three separate rooms. Finally, some guests returned very late on our last night and made a great deal of noise between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., even though we had to wake up early to catch our flights. This was by far the worst apartment stay I have ever experienced in Europe. I strongly recommend staying away from this property.
