Liked: The host is a genuinely lovely person! We arrived late because of traffic and forgot to let him know, so he ended up waiting a long time for us — he was a little put out at first (entirely our fault), but once we explained, he was incredibly nice, and even invited us to taste his homemade wine. The balcony is huge and, amusingly, even has grapevines growing on it — and you can see the sea right from it. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. It’s in Rovinj, just a short walk from the beautiful, Italian-flavoured old town, so strolling into town is easy and pleasant. Highly recommended, especially for travellers with a car.

Disliked: One genuine tip: try to be accurate about your check-in time. This host will wait for you, so if you’re going to be late, please message him in advance — don’t leave him waiting like we did.

  Did the trick

Liked: The terrace was fabulous, nice views. Very nice touch to find a local beer in the fridge.

Disliked: Pillows were not comfortable. Linen could do with upgrading. Couldn't wash our dishes. No drying towels or soap.
